Hello,
I just had my ht1250 recased and it has started missing two lines of pixels on the display. The first line started a few days ago, and then today another line started going missing. So two lines missing in total so far.
Is this related to the recase or is it something else?
Thanks in advance,
Dustin

yes, i'd start checking what you did when you replaced the housing. or if someone else did it take it back to them.

Thanks for the information. It sounds like the flex is not properly seated. Is this something easy that I could check myself? I shipped it off to wiscomm and they were the ones that did the recase. I would rather not mess with shipping it back.
If this is something easy, does anyone have a guide (preferably with some pictures) on how to do it?
Thanks,
Dustin

remove the knobs and antennae and battery and at the bottom pry the radio out of the housing with a screwdriver, you'll see the 2 little notches that you have to clear to get it out. then pull it apart easily and you will see the multi where the ribbon goes to the board. take a small jewlers screwdriver and release the multi and the ribbon will come out. they probablly used your old insides so the ribbon isn't new, make shure it's clean and work in reverse to put it back.

Ok, I'll try that. I have tried it before but I am scared that I am going to break the plastic. Does it break easily?
Also one thing I noticed is that I can hit on the side of the radio and the missing pixel lines will show up and flicker and then go away. I don't know if that will help diagnose the problem or not.
Edit: Right after I posted this, I picked up my radio and all pixels are showing fine again. This is sounding very much like a loose cable, but I'm not really an expert on these.

the housing don't break that easily, you only have to pry on it enuf to get the radio out.
