Help building Mt1000 cable
Folks
I am trying to build an mt1000 cable, I looked at the diagram posted here, but i am a bit confused reading it. On the diagram posted what confuses me is the section marked "p1" I was wondering if sombody that knows could tell me what pins on the 25 pin connector go to what pin(s) on the 12 pin connector that attaches to the radio.
thanks for any help in advance

Yes and no on pin 7, it mutes the speaker when the programming cable is connected, it's nice to have it muted while programming so you don't have to listen to the constant tone, but it's also nice to have the speaker active when adjusting the squelch via RSS.
I put a small toggle switch in the connector shell so i can turn the speaker on and off.

Duct tape is like the force, it has a dark side and a light side and it holds the universe together.

They do not make any noise when programming... the cloning cable does not have pin 7 connected either.
The only reason pin 7 is shown grounded is that the circuit is from the service cable and it is required to route RX audio to the 4005 service box.. But as a programming only cable it is not required..
