CDM 1250 TX issues

Post by TheOCAstro »

Hi, Can Anyone Help?

I have a few CDM-1250's that I'am having trouble with on two issues the first being when I key the mic it takes like 2.5 to 3 seconds to give me the beep to began talking, which seems too long, however when I listen on other radios the TX opens up before that beeps even "beeps" and I can even hear the beep from the CDM over the air????

Second issue is the alert tones on these radios is too loud I have to keep the radio at low volume so the beep doesnt become annoying. then I cant hear the radio so I'm constantly adjusting the knob.

I believe both these issues are in the RSS but I cant seem to find or figure out what I need to do to correct the problem.

Oh yeah its a model# AAM25RKD9AA2AN, Firmware ver: R04.02.08, Codeplug ver: 02.19

Help

The alert tone volume can be adjusted I think its called something level or something like that

-40
-30
-20

and so on the lower the negative number the quieter the alert tones are.

I think its under Radio Configuration ( I think ) since I'm just going off the top of my head.

Your 2nd question - Could it be that you have MDC Pre going and you have sidetone activated? - My opinion is always a good idea to put the MDC as Post that way you know none of your transmission is going to get cut off....

**Quick Story

Had a situtation not to long ago at a local police department that the OIC said something but because the MDC Pre cut him off it was mistaken as something else so the wrong this occured based on that if it would have been post it would have not occured most likely.

Need anymore help feel free to contact.
