Motorola Smartnet sounds

Post by John »

Does anyone have computer sound files (i.e. WAV files) of the sounds a radio user hears on a Motorola Smartnet trunking system? Specifically, I am looking for sound files for:

System Busy
Talk Permit
Failsoft

We are trying to put together a Powerpoint presentation to use for end user training.

I'd just use a telephone company "reorder" sound (fast busy) to simulate system busy...

I don't see any trunking sounds used to signal users on this page. The only thing I can find are digital sounds that user's never hear (such as control channel sounds).

John, You have an excellent idea for the PowerPoint presentation. A lot of other agencies could use this valuleable tool. Nothing beats seeing the slide AND hearing the accual audio.

Hopefully someone will be able to get a good .wav files of the 'trunking ' sounds for yor PP project.

Unless you have a lot of free time - why not spend a few$ and get the Motorola training package for your radio(s). They come in Powerpoint and are user customizable so you can edit in your talkgroups & channel names, button assignments & so-on.. They have all the radio sounds built in as well.

i too am looking for some sounds like this, but what i would REALLY like to find is a recording of a Voice channel from an old type 1 system, complete with the BONK before the channel comes up.
think about how to ENCOURAGE Motorola learning safely with GRACE.....NOT condemnation.
