Motorola Mobile - Amateur Radio Packet Modem (AX.25)

Hello,

I'm looking to setup a packet radio link from my vehicle to my home, and I've mostly decided on the AX.25 protocol.

Can anyone suggest a budget-friendly combination of TNC/Data Modem and radio to accomplish this? I already have one VHF Spectra in the truck, but I was thinking of something with ~50W+ of power (I have a low power Spectra) and possibly in the UHF or 900MHz band.
