W3/HHCH display problem. Anyone seen this before

I have a HHCH for a W3.

It is dropping all the dots on the bottom row for both lines.

I have checked the HHCH on two radios/cables and it behaves the same on both?

Has anyone seen this?

I am probably going to open it up and check the solder joints but was curious if anyone had seen this behavior.

Display probably dying?

Or extreme high temp?

Looks more like an open on one of the data lines would be my guess
