MCC7500

Post by nickburns186 »

Anyone have any dealings with the MCC7500 consoles? Getting any info out of Motorola is like pulling teeth. We are on the verge of purchasing 16 new positions and we currently use Zetron, but our area is just now going on a new SmartZone system, and the MCC series would make that a little more easy. Any information or insight is appreciated.

What do you want to know?
Manual is 6881013Y81 MCC 7500 Dispatch Console Subsystem

Significant benefits of the MCC 7500 Dispatch Console subsystem are:

• Secure Capability in the MCC 7500 Dispatch Console and MCC 7500 AIS
allows true end-to-end encryption

• Agency Partitioning allows multiple agencies to use a common system while maintaining control over their console resources

• Centralized Configuration allows all console configuration to be done at one place
with changes automatically distributed across the system

• Centralized Fault Management provides robust fault management of the
console subsystem via FullVision

• Because the console subsystem is managed via the radio system’s centralized network management subsystem, there is a single point for managing faults, accounting, performance and security of the radio system. The network management subsystem may be accessed from multiple remote locations, providing convenient access as well as the benefits of centralized management.

• The MCC 7500 AIS provides flexible, high-quality archiving services for audio and dataassociated with various types of calls and various events associated with radio resources

• Simplified installation and maintenance due to fewer pieces of equipment

• Fewer required pieces of hardware mean less required physical space
for the dispatch console setup

• Eliminates the need for parallel transports by allowing conventional resources to use the same transport as trunking resources

• Improved serviceability features mean fewer site visits, faster resolution of service interruptions

• Sophisticated bandwidth management of the console site links allows customers to assign
the minimum amount of bandwidth required to carry the audio

• Uses trunking IDs efficiently by using only one trunking ID per dispatch console instead
of one trunking ID per trunking resource per dispatch console

• Improved patch operation minimizes double vocoding, automatically reestablishes patches if interrupted and passes along the ID of the transmitting radio instead of the dispatch console’s ID

• It can co-exist in a system with the CENTRACOM Gold Series Elite dispatch console with robust parallel status of many features between the two products

• It reuses the Elite GUI to allow dispatchers to minimize learning curves for dispatchers transitioning to the MCC 7500 dispatch console\

• End-to-End Encryption

• Analog Conventional Communications

• Trunking Communications

• Agency Partitioning

• Archiving Interface Server (AIS)

• Permanent Patch/Standard Patch

• Third Party Paging Encoder Port

• Auxiliary Inputs and Outputs

• Co-existence and interoperability with CENTRACOM Gold Elite Consoles
