xts3000 model I to model III conversion

Post by nh7cy »

is there any way to convert an xts3000 model I to a model III without having to load an s-record from a donor radio into it?

for one, i already have the flash i want, for another, i want to keep my serial number, and lastly, i cant find anyone with a donor radio in the same bandsplit with the same dsp

basically im looking for a way to change the radios model by editing its s-record.

can this be done and how?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

What is the flashcode in it right now?

Also, the host and dsp versions will stay with the radio no matter which conversion route you go, ie... srec dump or another route. If I read your orig post correctly, you dont need a doner radio with the same dsp, what ever version firmware your radio has in it will stay in it unless you specifically upgrade the firmware.
