Backing up to S-Records

Post by 0rlando »

Hi,

I would like to create backups of my radios in case anything ever happens to them. I do have the usual codeplug backups, but I would like to keep a complete "image" that includes all the data.

I have acess to an early version of Asto-lab, 1.x I think, will using this version for creating the s-record files effect restoring from a newer version of Astro-lab or MTSX-lab?

Can I successfully make an s-record backup file from Asto-lab, if I'm using the latest version of CPS (5.00.02) to normally program the radios?

Thanks,
Orlando

What radios do you own?: one of each

as long as you arent using lab to open anything, which you wont be able to do anyways unless you have an ancient codeplug, the s-record format stays the same no matter what
