GP300 model info needed

Post by kb8ukl »

If anyone has the means to get information on a model number I would appreciate any info on model AZP03YPC20C5AA. Its an Asian 220mhz GP300 or GP280, and I can't enable dtmf/phone through rss. I need to find a solution, maybe a model number that has dtmf/phone or something. Its driving me crazy. I compared this codeplug to a US vhf gp300 and the US codeplug has alot more lines of code, so I don't know if this is an option or if it would even write to the radio. I don't want a door stop.

GP300/218 model numbers

Hi, I've looked at a briefly written service manual on Asian market and
did not find anything on the model number which particularly states
DTMF options. So, I guess you still need to enable it via RSS.

Here is the model numbers I saw in the manual:

P33YPC20A5AA 2-Chan., 25 kHz (216-223 MHz)
AZP03YPC20C5AA 16-Chan., 25 kHz (216 - 223 MHz)
P93YPC20C8A_ 16-Chan., 25 kHz (336 - 368 MHz)
P93YPC00C8A_ 16-Chan., 12.5 kHz (336 - 368 MHz)

And here is the description of the model nuber (i.e. P93YPC20C8AA)
P= Type of Unit (Portable)
9= Tx Power (1-4W)
3= Freq Band (VHF)
YPC= Model Sereies (Universal)
20= Channel Spacing (00=12.5KHz, 20=25KHz)
C= Channel Capability (16ch)
8= Freq Sub-band (Range 8)
A= Version (A)
A= Unique Moel Variation (A=package model)

You might need RSS for this radio (part# PMVN4003E) to
program, if all the Toolkit (TK) and IVG method fails.
