Motorola Radius Question... think it's an M100

Just bought a raduis off e-bay, but after digging and running the model number I"m a little confused of it's operating freq, and it's bandsplit.
I was quoted the model number D34LRA77A5DK can't seem to find a reference chart that can break that down very accurately for me.

can anybody lend some insight as to WTF I just bought??
if it helps, the e-bay item is 190026045767

are there any other special features or anything that sets this model apart from the pack? I'm guessing that it's just a run of the mill UHF nothing fancy.. I just don't wanna hook it up to my RSS and find out it's out of my bandsplit for my P110's.. if it is, hopefully the Shift key will get me through..

The model number tells me it's a dash-mount, 40-45 watt, UHF (400-512 MHz), 6 channel Radius. It should cover 440-470 MHz at least, unless it's on a different split (403-430 or 470-512). Can't tell much else until you get it, open it up, and provide the HRDxxxx board number.

The RADMBL program should program it. Holding the SHIFT key while entering frequency digits (release for the decimal point) should work if the program is new enough. I've hex-edited my copy so the SHIFT key is not required.

I have an americas radius software, but it's the software I use for my GP's and p110's is it a pipe dream to use this software with the new radio? or do I need to keep hunting?

You need RADMBL. Nothing else will work. Motorola saw to that.

The Radius and Maxtrac radios were never available in a 438-470 split that i know of.

The mid split was always 450-470, however, they work below 450 just fine and i have plenty of them on the ham band, just have to use the Shift trick to program them. Sometimes you might also get one that doesn't want to go very far out of the normal range due to the VCO unlocking. But thats a quick fix also. Not hard for a beginner either, just a good voltmeter and screwdriver required.. The screwdriver doesn't even have to be golden.. LOL

The software is different. It requires RADMBL RSS, the latest version i have seen and use is R08.00.00.

I assume you already have a RIB, so making up a cable is easy, it programs via the mic jack and the pinout info is on the batlabs site. If you have one of the Sandy Ganz RIB clones you can just use a network patch cable to connect to the radio, don't forget to turn on the bias switch, and your set.

I have one of those Chinese built Battery pack style RIB-less units with the GP series pack, the RJ45 dongle and the miniplug dongle, acording to the specs from where I got it, it should work just fine... RADMBL should be my only challenge..

Yep, i know the one your talking about, you just use the RJ45 connection to program the Radius/Maxtrac mobiles..

I beleive the RSS part number is RVN4135A and it comes up as $410 on MOL.

That should be right.. The latest Maxtrac RSS is stil $310, RVN4019K.
