Problem with GM360 VHF radios!

Post by asdfg »

Hi, we have a problems with GM360 VHF radios, built in vehicles. For no reason, a few of them turn on and off, or dislay get crazy and led change its colors. In that case it is not possible to turn off on switch, only by pulling cable for +12V. Then, they get back normal. Radios are normaly programmed, with no S5 encode and S5 decode.
Thanx!

It sounds like you have a problem with electrical noise in some of your vehicles. Are the GM360s wired directly to the battery with ignition control? If not, +12V power filters in the affected units may help cure the problem. There are several manufacturers of lowpass filters that will work well, including Antenna Specialists.
