XTS5000 Scan List Edit

Post by dittrimd »

I cannot get my XTS5000 to let me edit either of the scan lists in my computer.

My radio is the following

H18QDH9PW7AN
HOST 06.02.03
DSP 06.00.01

I have tried to program the scan list using the three position switch and the menu set up separately with no luck. Here is what I have tried so far:

When I use the three position switch it goes into program mode with the flashing block. The three soft keys become DEL SEL RCL. The RCL button will work and scrolls through the scan list. When I try to press the DEL button on a scan list member I get the unprogrammed boop like the button is not active. When I go to a scan list member which is not on the list and press the SEL I again get the boop.

When I program the menu to have the PROG in RSS it will not show up. I have taken the switch assignment off the scan list edit.

I have gone through the CPS and checked everything. The scan list is coventional. I cannot find anything else. Anyone who can offer up a suggestion would be great.

Thanks

What screen in the CPS has this option? I have looked around for something like this and cannot find it.

Mark:

To select the Fixed/Operator Selectable setting for the scan list, open the tree and go through the "Scan List-x" under scan configuration. In each scan list personality is where you pick the type of scan, Priority, talkgroup, etc. Also in this window is the drop down to determine the fixed or OpSel.

Hope this helps you out.
