MCS2000 CPS ?

Post by bellersley »

Hi gang. I'm wondering what OS is needed to run the MCS2000 CPS? Or at least, will it run with Win98SE? Thanks :)

CPS runs on Windows xp/2000 etc.
No real restrictions.
98 maybe not.

SOB. My programming machine has only got 98 on it, it's much too old (CF-25) to run XP or 2000. How old is MCS2000 RSS? The radio I need to work on was last programmed probably about a year and a half ago, and I'm not sure if it was done with RSS or CPS.

Probably with CPS.
I will look on Monday what the minimum requirements are for CPS if someone else doesn't post it first

WinXP 2k +
128Ram +
1-2gb disk space +

Are what the install/minimum requirements are stated as.

One rule, try it.... if it will install and run, then you have got yourself going..... Try win98se, I wouldnt try anything less with cps.

Okay, well I installed it on a 98SE box and it installed no problem, and it loads no problem. I assume I won't have a problem using it then. Thanks for the responses!

I assume no responsibility incase you try and program a radio with that setup...

Heh... You **could** run out of ram easily.

MCS2000 CPS is supported in Win98, no problem.
