XTL5000: Site ID display?

Post by n9jig »

Is there a way I can have my XTL5000 display the Site ID of the tower site it is affiliated with? It is a legit radio on the system, I just want to know what tower(s) I am affiliating with to check coverage in our area.

If you leave it blank, it will show the true site ID (site number/name). In the system he is on, there is no need to populate the site ID fields (only 9? anyways). I posted a reply for you over on RR.com

I do random tests like this.

I have all our control channels programmed in as conventional.
That way you can listen and here that the tx is ok (well roughly)

I then have site lock and site scan programed so I can lock onto a site a drive to see how far I can use the radio.
I also have some dummy talkgroups that are single site access only which does the same.
