Syntor X9000 PA Drive Level

Post by KD5TKR »

Hello everyone,

What is the appropriate drive level at the input of the PA on the 450-470 UHF x9k? I have measured the output from the VCO at the J700/P700 interface and I am measuring about 3/4 watt, but I have no output from the PA. I have also checked the PA Enable line and it is going low on transmit. I am about to check the Keyed 9.4V line and was wondering if anyone has any input on this problem.

Thanks,

Charles

I was able to get this radio working. I reworked the soldering on the LLA and replaced the Predriver Transistor and am getting 100W out now.
