Looking for Flash Code option numbers for XTS5000

Post by dittrimd »

I am looking for two flashcode options for my XTS5000, one for MDC1200 Decode which I believe is the Digital ID option and the other is the Field Programming option.

I am currently getting a price to upgrade my radio to the latest firmware so I can utilize the 2 tone decode in the latest release of CPS. My shop is having some difficulty getting all the right info so if I can get the flash codes it might make things easier for them.

The quoted me $149.00 for the firmware upgrade, is this reasonable?

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks Marc, I am assuming that the difference in the two FPP flash codes are for Q52 you need to be a government entity and all others get Q53? From what I have found in other posts it looks like the Q52 is the more flexible and the Q53 locks you into a certain amount of personalities, 240 I believe. Anyone have any feedback on how good or bad these option are?

After reading through several of the FPP threads it seems that the FPP option is not for me. I will stick with my CPS as I do not need to program frequencies on the fly very often and I have a realy hard time keeping track of my JT1000 programming adapter.

Thanks

Mark
