XTL5000 error

Post by ffexpCP »

I have a new XTL5000 installed in my dispatch center (I use that term loosely - but I digress). The first time I powered it up I got ‘error 09/10.’ It keeps doing it each time it is powered up, but it only flashes twice then it goes away. The unit seems to work. I know I should get the service guy out here, but I don’t want to deal with the hassle if it’s nothing to worry about. Anyone know what it is?

yes, the dolt that programmed your radio checked the box that indicates secure hardware is installed in your radio....

and either it's not installed, or not installed correctly

all it means is that the vocon can't talk to the secure hardware that it thinks is installed....

it's a non-fatal error and won't inhibit operation of the radio, just a PITA every time you power it up

go kick your sales/service guy in the junk and tell him to fix it.....

or

to give you the secure module someone raped outta your radio back

Fantastic. This ought to be fun. It only took 2 years to get the stupid thing. Thanks for the info.
