AS3 for Railroad Monitoring

Post by NSPD »

I'm planning to add a few Railroad channels to my new AS3...

Anyone that uses an AS for these purposes know what the best squelch fine-tune setting is?

I just use the default setting, whatever that is. It works fine for most everything, I've not run into a problem what so ever.

For my radios, the squelch opens around 1. So, it usually gets set to 2. It all depends on the radio and alignment... program some CSQ channels to each level and play around with it.

Unless I run into problems, I set the squelch to 1 for all channels with PL/DPL. If the channels is carrier squelch, then I opt for a squelch of 2.

Cheers
