MTS2000 Squelch

Post by NSPD »

What should the Squelch fine-tune be set to on a VHF MTS2000? The default is 0, where on an Astro Saber the default is 6. Will leaving it as 0 cause it to unmute without a signal?

Thanks!

yep 0=an open squelch, raise it till you hear no noise, but your radio traffic that you need to hear gets thru just fine...
off the top of my head I don't recall the default? but even defaults need to be adjusted..

All of mine on multiple radios is 0. I only increase it if there is a tendency of a specific channel being noisy.
