AS III Reg board failure

I have a VHF Astro Saber which intermittently displays "Reg board failure". It lasts for a second or two then returns to the previous state and operates normally.

Several times this has occurred while testing a second radio. Could this be caused by another radio transmitting too close to this radio and causing a temporary failure? Or of course perhaps the Reg board is about to go.....

Is the Reg board easy to replace and how much should I expect to spend if it goes out permanently?
