XTS5000 Black display label

Post by Mfire39 »

Just an FYI.... After hunting around for quite awile for the part number, and a little trial and error with other part #'s, I confirmed the # for the "Black" sticker/label for around the display on an XTS5K mod 2/3.

I know this has come up in a couple posts in the past, and I'm not sure if the # for the black label was ever confirmed, so I figured I would offer it up to anyone thats interested. The black label looks awesome on a black housing, and gives it a very different and unique look instead of the "common" silver.

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

I don't have a photo handy. When PJ gets in to work - I believe he's got one.

I have seen other colors as well such as green, red, and yellow. You don't happen to have those numbers as well do you?

Yeah, the black I got last year is sweet. With the execption of blue (to a point), some of the other colors just don't look right on a black case. The orange and snot yellow case looks a little bad ass.

I hate orange on yellow. An agency I used to be a member of had them.

But black on black looks great - as sexy as an XTS3000.

I like it too! And I relate to the orange on yellow Syntrx, they just look gay in all their promotional photos on that agencies website.
