Repeater Building Help
Im trying to put together a small FRS Repeater for my local area, i see these cables on ebay that plug into the back of two GM300 radios, is it really this simple is that all i need is the two GMs and the cable, do any of you guyz have any advice on how to put together a cheap repeater? Thanks
The basic premise of building an FRS repeater violates a long list of FCC rules and regulations, including:
1) No repeaters allowed on FRS
2) 500mw maximum output power
3) No use of non-type accepted radios (I know- the GMRS exception).
4) No radios with detachable antennas
5) No radios that do not meet FRS emission and bandwidth specs
Given that I cannot see this thread turning into anything other that a flame session, I am locking it before it even gets started.
