Help in Converting W4 radio to W5-orW7 Head

I've got a W4 Astro and want to install a W5 or W7 control head on this radio.

Is this an ultra difficult hack job or is there a sound and relative simple way to change these heads?

It's not all that difficult, but LAB RSS is required to force in the appropriate W5/W7 codeplug.

I didn't see any way to convert it in the regular RSS. I guess that Lab is pretty much the Silver Bullet in these situations.
