Spectra buzz on keyup

I have a VHF Spectra with the knob control head. When this unit is keyed up, there is a buzz that comes from the radio itself. It does not effect the transmit or receive on the radio, however it is very annoying to the operator. Any sugestions.

probably bad SM caps-the Spectra is well known for this problem.

If it is connected to a base power supply, it's probably just the power supply.

If it is in a mobile, and more of a high-pitched buzz, it could be the alternator.
