flat rate pricing for an mt1500?

Post by nh7cy »

Ok so here goes with my ongoing mt1500 repair saga..

Awhile ago i received an mt1500 that had been run over by some very large vehicle

Outside, the radio seemed fine, in fact i'd even say it looked great.

Inside, was a slightly different story. The metal backing of the radio had bent and so had the controller/rf board. The shield that covered the board had also posessed a rather large and scary looking dent.

After straightening everything out i popped a fully charged battery on to the unit and voila, nothing.

Anyway, out came the multimeter, fuses were checked, connections around various places of the bent curcuit board were checked to see if any stress had caused some of the contacts to come loose etc.

Nothing..

So now im clueless.

Anybody know the current flat rate pricing for an mt1500?

Otherwise i'll probably end trading my vhf mts for a new one.

Flat rate repair doesn't cover physical or water damage.
