GP380 Re-Flash?
I'm wondering. I've seen that it's possible to flash a GP680 into a GP380. I've heard rumours that you could flash a GP380 into an HT1250. Is there any truth to this? I have a GP380 UHF that I would love to turn into an HT1250, this no zone business is no fun indeed!

I'm willing to experiment.
I have a SmartRIB (and a regular 4008), factory cable (that can flash).
What I don't have however are any of the lab stuff.
I assume it's not as easy as just taking an HT1250 codeplug and forcing it into the radio. What about the method that someone had posted on batlabs where you take two radios, modify the programming cable one one of them to disable reading, and just program as normal, then both radios become the same?

You have to get the lab flashgrade and lab firmware/codeplugs for
GP380.Turning it into a HT1250 will not work.I don´t know the reason,but I tested it.
No SMARTRIB or something special is needed! You only have to get the Boostrap pin in the programming cable to ground, when you want to flash the firmware.
