Use of "000" Astro NAC?

Post by seleong »

Curious if anyone has any information on the use of NAC/NID of "000". I was told that this might be usable as an equivalent of DCSQ, but will allow the passing of a radio's unit ID. Could the use of this NAC/NID depend on radio model (i.e., Astro Saber, XTS3000, XTS5000)???

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Isn't NAC 293 the same as DCSQ?

What radios do you own?: Liberty MBITR APX7000 75000

NAC Monitor = F7E (Hex)

When this Rx NAC ID (Network Access Code) is set to “7FE”, the radio unmutes to any ASTRO call regardless of the call’s NAC ID or the radio’s ASTRO Rx Unmute Rule set for the current channel.

The factory default is 293 (Hex)

..But only if you have high enough Host firmware and the correct version of CPS (I beleve the latest is required for the XTS3k's)

NAC "000" Use in XTS3000

Post by seleong »

Hello MattSR!

I was curious if this (Host/DSP version)was the "culprit"!!! I have an Astro Saber, XTS3000, and an XTS5000 all programmed with a simplex frequency with a Rx NAC of "000". The XTS5k's hear each other fine - the Astro Saber and XTS3k do not unmute...

Hmmmm...

Yes, i'm not 100% on the firmware version, but I know you definitely need CPS V5.01.00 to do it..

Have a read of http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... hlight=f7e

Cheers,
