Nylon/velcro XTS light case... Motorola brand/aftermarket?

Post by DES-AJ »

Hi all,

Lately I've been seeing various emergency services locally with lightweight nylon cases for their XTS3000/5000's and I'm curious to know if anyone else on the board may know of the product I'm talking about and may have a part number for it, It's holds the radio rather snug, almost like just using a normal belt clip but the case covers most of the radio, I'm aware of the normal leather swival cases that Motorola have for the XTS series but those cases are fairly bulky and sit the radio a bit to far out from the belt.

The nylon case I have been seeing more and more often on various agencies so I believe it may be a newish Motorola product as I find it unlikely that so many different agencies would be buying from an aftermarket source.

I'm aware my discription is not the best but I haven't been able to find anything on the net/motorola's website yet.

Any help would be appreciated, If I can get a photo I'll post it.

Some of those are getting close but no banana... on these cases the speaker part and sides of the radio aren't covered... I think I might just need to get a picture of it or have a look at one a bit more from a willing party.

It's hard to discribe just thought I'd chuck a post up in "case" someone had one or maybe posted a link to it.

Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it.

Well here is one more place to look, but it could take a long time to find it.

haha thats awesome Jim, I'll take a look through it later... Never thought such a site would exist.

Theirs one problem with most of these pictures... The radios haven't been turned on... Looks really natural talking into a radio thats powered off. 8)

Thanks,
AJ

Hi Sam, been awhile.... None of those pics match what I'm after, thanks anyway... I'm actully after new gear not used, I'm fairly sure that it's a NTN8725A that I'm after, I'll order some from Moto next time I'm putting through an order.
