MTS2000 Recieve Quality

Post by gatekeep »

I'm curious, I have a front display MTS2000 and a top display MTS2000, the front display MTS2000 seems to receive poorly as compared to the top display MTS2000.

I tuned the squelch soft pots, and it helped a bit, but not a lot. Is there anything else that could be done?

We talking about, the front end filter alignment? Because Tx is almost perfect on the thing.

"front end filter alignment" is for the receiver. It needs to be properly aligned to get the best sensitivity out of the receiver. The "tuning values" vary from radio to radio, that is why they are adjustable.....

Will, I understand that. Hence why I asked, I figured the front-end probably needs to be adjusted. Though, modifying the squelch levels was and is at the moment a temporary patch.

Is the Antenna Connector loose at all? could be another possibility..then again TX would probably be poor too!
