ok...read all that but still not sure if that tells me it is or isn't. I have read about what to look for like extra letters and numbers but still not sure. Just trying to learn here.

I thought the old rule of thumb was that if it contained anything other than numbers, it was a whore. But I've seen some real ones with the single C in it, so it may be legitimate.

Edit: Oh, but that has MODAT... My understanding is that it was only ever available to LAPD. So my money's on it being a whore.

The "whore" codes used to be the ones containing 4F1E or 1C5E.
