Maratrac HUB Microphone Modification

Post by Randy B »

I'm looking for a way to get my Maratracs to decode a PL at all times, not just when the mic is hung up. Unlike the Maxtrac, GM300, or other mobiles, the Maratrac RSS doesn't have an option to disable to HUB feature.

On the Maxtrac, GM300, and other mobile radios, it's pretty easy to make the modification to the mics so that they decode PL. However, the Maratrac mic is different than the Maxtrac/GM300 mic and I haven't yet figured out how to ground it out, or if there's even a way to do so. Has anyone come up with a modification to ground out the Maratrac mic?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

i did that to my x9000's so if it's the same mic and pinout i crossed the black & blue wires to keep it grounded all the time.

Well, since it's the same mic it should work for the Maratrac too! I'll try it. Thanks!

I don't know if you tried searching the board, but you might also want to take a look at:
