I am experiencing a strange issue. I have an MT1500 set up to transmit MDC emgergency on a fixed channel when the button is depressed. When I connect the lapel mic with Emergency button an un-wanted delay occurs. When you depress and release the emergency button on the lapel mic, you get no audiable acknowledgement, and it takes 19 seconds to actually activate the emergency feature and send the emergency MDC packet to my dispatcher.
On my previous radio MT2000, as soon as you depress the emergency button, the emergency MDC packet is sent and you get an aduiable acknowledgement. I'm not sure if this is a software or firmware issue. Can anyone help me here??

On the first page of the ERSM pdf brosure, in little print along the bottom it reads...
"*Emergency activation from the RSM is delayed until programmed Mandown Pre-alert and Post-alert delays elapse. Depending on radio model, factory
defaults or previous programming could set the delay times for as long a 8 to 120 seconds."
How do you like the mic otherwise?

Wow, what a stupid feature...I can't think of any reason why anyone would want the emergency button to work that way.
FDC_100, you should just have to disable the mandown feature in the CPS under the 'radio wide' screen, 'emergency' tab.
