Split from Centracom part #'s

It appears I have the wrong list from AWT. That list he had on his post when I bought the console must have been incorrect. The reason I say this is because I do have 3 BLN1170Bs I also have the RS232. So... How much will it cost me to get the right software and cable to program this bad @$$

(800) 422-4210 for the RSS. I think someone said it's ~$150.

As far as the cable goes... That's simple. Get a straight through RJ45 to RJ45 cable, and an RJ45 to DB9 adapter hood.

The pinout is:

DB9F RJ45F Hood
1 1 (Blue Wire)
N/C 2 (Orange Wire)
6 3 (Black Wire)
2 4 (Red Wire)
4 5 (Green Wire)
3 6 (Yellow Wire)
NC 7 (Brown Wire)
5 8 (Slate or White Wire)

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE JUMPERS ON YOUR RS232 CARD SET CORRECTLY FOR INTERFACING TO A TOMI CARD OR DAMAGE MAY RESULT. THE JUMPER SETTINGS ARE IN THE RSS HELP SCREEN.

The RS232 cable plugs into the FRONT RJ45 connector on the RS232 card (the one closest to the handle).

Thanks!!!. I have my girlfriend writing down a complete inventory of my cards so I will better know what I actually have. Do you have to keep moving the RS232 card around to each slot above the TOMI? I am ready to see a section dedicated to consoles. Also, A fellow was going to send me a program to convert tones to the 4-digit code since I do not make since of the chart I have. Maybe someone can explain what the concept of the chart is... Thanks again and I will be checkiing quite frequent for your updates. Thanks for posting back.

The RS232 card needs to always be above the TOMI you're programming. Pull it out of one, put it in the other, and program as needed. Good luck.

Thanks again. I will be looking at that as soon as I can get some RSS. Also. I do not want to have to buy tone adaptors and dc adaptors. I was told some where you can configure this cards for E&M. What does anyone know of this. I am going to control 4 GM300s.

I don't know HOW that's done, but once you find out, please share it with us.

How are you going to accomplish channel control, or is it not needed? I suppose you could use a 3/6 AUX I/O or 16 AUX IO configured for momentary operation to be like pushing the channel button, but it'd get pretty easy to get lost and forget where you are...

Tone/dc control homes the radio back to that specific channel... Logic control (generally) does not.

Ok... Here it is straight LOL. My girlfriend and I are visually impaired. I have a 3 bedroom Apt. 3 rooms upstairs. 1 bedroom is my radio room. I have the OP in their with my 2 desks and radios. The 2nd bedroom is the Train room for my model trains and the BIG ASS racks. The 3rd bedroom is for well.... Pimpin... I have the 2nd OP in the dining area next to her desk down stairs. My girlfriend is very open lucky for me to the radios and trains. She doesn't mind getting her hands dirty in this project. I also have plans and the permission to put up a 30ft tower on the back porch. It is a concrete slab. I also have lots of extra closet space. Once my CCII+ system is configured and I am use to working with it... I will put the racks in my closets. I will try some time to get some pics for those interested. I love the comments... Keepem comein!

All that to control 4 GM300's? Yikes.

The one I'm working on is a single cabinet (small MSF-type) 2 cage CEB. I plan to equip the OP's for 2 T8R8 DCCM's, 1 T8R8 CCM and 3 T1R1 CCM's. It'll have a voting display and be connected via 4wire to the DigiTAC on my MSF 5000, as well as another standalone repeater here and two Desktrac tone remotes and 1 standby backup radio, plus two receivers via a DR module.

So it'll have 6 BIM's, a DR, a COMP, 2 TOMI's, 2 AEI's and possibly an MDC modem... And of course 2 system timers. Maybe an SPI if I can make it work.

BLI, are you using desktop OP's or do you actually have Centracom furniture in your apartment????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I'm just going to use desktop OP's... get that ugly ass ancient furniture the hell out of my sight...

And I kinda hijacked my own thread here, this was supposed to be for part numbers. Mods: can someone break this into another thread?

Yeah, I do have the OLD furniture. There is photos of what I have from AWT. I took off the ends of the console that were open. So I have 2 small OPs. Once I get use to the operations and programming I will be switching to the PC based version if I can find what I need todo it.

To go to PC based OP's all you need is the Centracom II+ CIE, the DOS software, and a PC to run it on.

Then you get to reprogram your TOMI's ALL OVER AGAIN.

No, Windows only came about in the Gold & Gold Elite systems...and those are NT/2000/XP only. If you get your system working & really want to try biting off more than you can chew, try setting up a Gold system! Very similar to the CCII+, but firmware in all applicable cards has to match up with the specific Centracom revision of software, as well as specific Windows version & even service packs! If you don't get a complete turnkey system that was working at one point, good luck!

The DOS CRT looked like an old Atari game...very blocky. Don't have a screenshot though.

I don't think I will leave that where it lies. I may try and do the DOS version if I can find the software. I would love to see what the screen looks like.
