Astro Saber Trunking v. Conventional Question

Post by W6WAW »

I have tried to find an answer by using the search function, with no luck, so here's my probably stupid question.

Will a trunking APCO -25 Astro Saber also do conventional analog if the Flashcode has the following options:

Q806/G806
H14/G114
H38/G51
Q173/G173

I note that it is missing the H35 option, that I know goes with conventional operation.

Thanks.

What radios do you own?: APX

An Astro radio with an H38 system package will do H38 Smartzone, along with H37 Smartnet, and H35 Conv.

So Ditto on that, it will do conventional all day long..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

As a general rule, the higher the number, it includes the previously numbered options.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system
