MTS2000 Toolproofing

Post by gatekeep »

Now, we all know that any of the current leaked RSS Lab Tools will toolproof an MTS2000. I've noticed on the "Stuff We're Looking For!" page, there is an entry for MTSX, that says "> 6.00 Lab Tools", if this were possible (I'm working under the assumption that it isn't). Would the newer RSS say better then 6.04 toolproof a MTS2000? (Just speaking theoretically).

I'm just curious to see what people think.

I've heard LAB exists right up to the current 6.08 version, and I've heard it can clear the toolproof error. Never seen it to verify though.

R06.07 lab will un-toolproof an MTS. I'm sure any other later versions will also..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

So apparently there are some smart people who have succeeded and unlocked lab, or are we only talking about /\/\ staff here?

So, does anyone know if with the unlocked newer version lab, if it was possible to turn on flash options that the radio didn't have by forcing a codeplug from another radio in. (By turning on flash options, I mean features like MDC1200 and such).

And for that matter ... I wonder how the modification is done to enable such lab mode ... My 2 MTS2000's (a Model I and a Model II) really could do with MDC1200 signalling... But at any rate, I dought I'll find out how to get lab mode so, I'm ok with my MTS2000's the way they are ;).
