XTS 5000 Audio

Post by Einstein »

Can someone direct me to a post reference choppy audio from a XTS 5000 radio. Receiving sometimes only one side of the conversation from a trunking system. Also any fixes for this problem? Hearclear etc. is not enabled in the radio. Is there an alignment cure, although this unit was just returned from the Depot, or a software cure that I am missing? Also it seems that it is only on the digital Smartzone system and not the analog Smartnet system.

Thanks

Just for some info, the trunking system that I am having the audio problems with, their dev. levels are as follows:
Data Channel 6.187 khz pk hold
Voice Channel 5.994 khz pk hold

Another system that I don't have any problems with using the same XTS 5000 their dev. levels are as follows:
Data Channel 4.201 khz pk hold
Voice Channel 4.35 khz pk hold

The dev levels might be the cause of the choppy audio. Still investigating.
Both are Smartzone systems.
