XTS3000 Fail 01/82, Fail 01/90

Post by cbus »

Anybody able to assist here.

XTS3000 model III (host/dsp 7.03)

I went to align the radio and changed one of the reference freq's in 1.02.00 tuner and it flashed up Fail 01/90. I attempted to change it back to the previous reference freq and the fail stayed up. Having a look at the xts service manual the 01/90 shows up as a tuning error on the internal eprom.

So, I thought fair enough, I'll blow another plug into it and it should clear the tuning values/freq's back to the factory settings. No luck...

Radio now shows Fail 01/82. service manual says that that is a corrupted internal epromm(the part of it where the codeplug data is stored.

My guess is that somewhere along the line the checksum in the codeplug has corrupted and needs to be repaired or similar.

Can anyone assist here ?

Ide flat rate it but its a tagless nick radio.

Thanks

mexi-rola doesn't seem to mind so much the nick radios.... it's all profit to them.
