Upgrade XTS 3k M1 to M2

Post by lmgk77 »

Alex,
I used the "search" feature first thinking that this would be a very popular modification. I posed keywords in all the combinations I could think of, and the results were disappointing. As far as using last week as a starting date for a topic to topic search didn't do much in the way of my question. Please unlock my post or a kind point in the direction would be very appreciated. I'm sure the info I'm asking for is there, but like any large reference source, sometimes the librarian is still the best one to start with.

Thanks for the help,
Leo

Here is the topic from last week...

Add hardware, force in s-record, retune... :)
Its a little more complicated than that, but not much. The S-rec should be close to your firmware version, and if it is not IMBE and readable by lab then you can change your serial number to match. If your radio is readable by lab, then you can probably just make it a model 3 that way.
