Freaking confusing XTS2.5k III CPS 9.01.02... questions

ok, i am getting a XTS-2500 in the mail from the batboard, the gentlemen was kind enough to send me the codeplug so i can get cracking on programming all 512 channels... BUT... this IS my first time on the CPS.. traded in my 3500 with the simple RSS.

i can't seem to deal with the fact that i can't change any amount of channels or zones.. can't delete, or add... its only at 240, and i'd like to add much more channels.

could it be that the gentlemen was using a different version of the CPS? and that utilizing the newer copy would restrict me from doing this?

help me out guys, this software is confusing enough!

could be, however I have a 5k with q53 that allows 850 and a 5k with q52 that quits at 512. Both have the same host and dsp.

yup, i was just told by the person i purcahsed from that its locked at 240, has both q52 and q53.. thx all...
