CDM 1250 model number error

CDM 1250 model number error

heres a first.

have radio here with no sticker on bottom. read the radio with r06.05.00 and under model number it says M25KD9AA5AN - Theres no AA or LA. how do you think this happened? also is there any way to revert it back so i can have a real model number? i don't know if its an LA or an AA model id think AA because it was bought from moto dealer in Florida.

If it was an LA version, your regular CPS woudn't have read it.

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

my RSS will read all supported regions including LA

6.xx and up usually support both AA and LA versions, if the software is for a servicer, I have heard of a version for COAM only that is either one or the other.

Since 6.xx, the software does not discern the Americas or Latin America version difference.

Look at the frequency band information in the radio information tab. The limits will tell you which radio it is.

For your purposes, if the software reads it, and the radio falls within the band limits you need, it shouldn't make any difference, other than type acceptance issues.
