Well there doesn't seem to be a proper forum to post this, so I'll do it here.
Why does it take a day or two or three days for my post to be approved?
I am not a terrorist or a troll, I have no intention of spreading a virus, I am a legal US citizen over 21, and a Motorola fanatic.
I am just curious, as it seems a rather unfriendly way to run a forum. I have gotten alot more done via personal e-mail and PM in hours than I could do in the days it takes to get a post "approved" here.
Post approval?

Re: Post approval?
New members join in moderated status until they, at the discretion of the mod/admin staff, have enough posts to ensure they aren't a troll, ne'er-do-well, spammer, etc.
Unfortunately, there is not currently a way for mods to receive proactive notification of a post awaiting approval. We have to log in and check manually. I believe Alex is working on a fix for this, but these things take time (this is, after all, a strictly volunteer job). We're having some growing pains with phpBB3, but it has added massive new functionality. Bear with us as we work through these issues.

So what is the magic number? I was just over at FSWT and I see that I cannot start a new topic. I have a need for specific Moto gear, and would like to be able to post there.
Please help a fellow Moto geek in need.

We are trying to combat a number of issues with new/approved users, and are slowly working on refining the process to become a regular user. The problem right now, there is only 2 of us who must have time to review each individual case, as this is not something I'm automating. It will require moving you out of this group, and in to another.
I've noticed that posts getting approved is taking longer than I anticipated them to as well, I've been doing several, so I need to work on that with the other moderators, and ensure that they are checking where they need to in order to make the posts appear quicker.
As tvsjr has mentioned -- it's a volunteer thing, and we all have a lot going on in our lives, so as we have time, we take things one at a time.
Have you purchased anything from another user on here already? If so, drop me a PM, and i'll speak with that individual, and maybe use that as an approval to shift your account over in your case.
