Outlook 2000 Not Working Anymore...

Post by RESCUE161 »

I've been using YPops and Outlook 2000 to access a yahoo account for several months now. It has always been great up until last night. I have not been able to to receive any emails since 2030 last night. I've tried everything I know. I've searched the net, but I can't seem to figure out what happened. I did not download anything as the last time I was on the PC was around 2020. I did revert to a Ghost backup from last month, but that resulted in the same problem. This leads me to believe that the problem is on Yahoo's end.

Here are the messages I get:

1 message(s) couldn't be retrieved from the server. Thsi usually happens when the connection to the server is lost due to server or network problems. If the problem persists, contact your administrator.

The POP3 server responded with an error. Server Response: '-ERR message 1 could not be downloaded'. (Account: '127.0.0.1', POP3 Server: '127.0.0.1', Error Number: 0x800ccc90).

Anyone have any ideas?

Reports on ypops forums indicate Yahoo is making changes on their mailservers.

Last post says he upgraded to the latest ypops version and it's working again; might try that.

Thanks a million! That did the trick. I searched for EVER and could only find things about it not working at all. Mine worked for sending and it would act like it was receiving, but would fail.

Thank you again for narrowing my search! You ARE the man!
