XTS 3000 case swap

ok i am getting a XTS3000 radio in Yellow...the ?? i have how hard is it to swap the yellow case for a Black case ?
i have done ht750,1250,ht1000's is it about the same ?
someone please let me know and how to do it

Batdudes Guide at the top of the Astro Section will get you through it with no problems.

That guide will cover you everything you need to do the swap. Just take your time and don't rush. Use extra care when working around the LCD

ok ...i dont have a display...mine is a model 1...i did order the "RIGHT M" part to remove the case..no i just need to find a black case, dont really care for the yellow

Do a search for Panter88 on ebay. This seller has cases for all models of the XTS for a reasonable price with the electronics. If someone can confirm, there may be two different types of connectors for the ribbon cable. My M3 has the 40? pin D connector and my replacement case that I purchased from this guy looks brand new. I was in your boat and went from yellow to black.

That's correct, panter88 sells revision "B" cases. So make so your sticker on the back plate ends in "BN" for the model number and you'll be fine. The "A" revision has a white connector vs the B revisions black one.

I've ordered 3 cases from panter, and they all work great, and I've gotten them in about a week and a half from Hong Kong.

Panter's stuff is top notch, his housings are complete with stickers and clean- shipping usually takes 7-10 days- he's much cheaper than Moto and other Ebay sellers.

yep found them on ebay 40.00+10.00 shipping thanks for all the info..and i just ordered the "special tool" to remove the case;....whopping 4.00 form BIG "M"
