I have an 800 MHz Astro Saber III in utterly pristine condition that I just got for a very, very fair price.
It doesn't work at all. Dead.
So I swapped around controllers between this one and another AS, but in a different band. The point is only to find out
if the trouble is with the controller or the RF board.
It's with the RF board.
The on-board fuse at the bottom edge is NOT blown.
What's the next most likely cause of a total failure to operate if the fuse is good and so's the vocon board?

Is there an experienced Astro Saber technician in the house?

I tried swapping the RF board into a known good frame and it wasn't a frame flex issue. The RF board does indeed have a problem.
I'll get it fixed...but as I don't have the manual, I don't have a really good place to start troubleshooting.
The vocon board is good and I've read it. Definitely 1 meg, with a nice feature package but not a whored-out job. 840001-000400-3.
Funny, I didn't even KNOW there was a SmartZone system in PERU!
But there's little doubt. System IDs in the radio: 0013 and 8013.
