when reading the radio with the CPS, it's shows that the Flashcode is:
500008-000488-2, from radioreference.com
Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 Digital Operation
H14/G114 Digital ID Display
H38/G51 Smartzone Operation
Q173/G173 Smartzone OmniLink Operation
Q361/G361 Digital APCO-25 IMBE Trunking (9600kb Control)
1B4 Future System Enhancement
almost the same from akardam:
Decoding Flashcode: 500008-000488-2
Q806 ASTRO Digital Operation
H14 Enhanced Digital ID Display
H38 SMARTZONE Systems Operation
Q173 SMARTZONE OMNILINK Multizone Operation
Q361 ASTRO 25 9600 Baud Trunking
Q574 9600 Baud Trunking
The problem is when i go to the CP in the CPS, in the Feature Set
section it only shows: "Q574 9600 Baud Trunking" and i can't program
the radio in TYPE II System.
Any help will appreciated

Re: XTS2500 feature not found??
Right, because as the flashcode states it only does 9600 P25 trunking. XTS2500s do one or the other, not both (unless things changed recently with the B). And don't let the SZ or OmniLink support confuse you, that has nothing to with making the radio 3600 capable. It's a network option, not a protocol.Neve wrote:The problem is when i go to the CP in the CPS, in the Feature Set

You just found the difference in the 2500 and the 5000 software, unfortunately the hard way!
On the 5000 platform, 9600 baud software includes backwards compatibility to 3600 type II.
On the 2500 platform, 9600 baud software does NOT include backwards compatibility to 3600 type II. Although, you can purchase Q883 9600/3600 interoperability software that will give you type II 3600, its $500 list.
On the 1500 platform, you can choose one or the other, the radio will NOT do both.

Re: XTS2500 feature not found??

Re: XTS2500 feature not found??
Yes, your radio already has smartzone installed, according to the info you posted. The only problem you have is your radio cannot understand the older 3600 control channel.
If you upgrade and add Q883, youll be able to operate on pretty much anything out there today, except type I systems.
Smartzone O/L will give you backwards compatibility all the way down to smartnet and startsite IR sites, analog and digital, and P25.
Originally when the 2500's were released, they were one or the other (3600 or 9600) you had to have a 5000 to get both. Motorola changed gears when the user base cried foul, and now the option is available.
