Is the power supply for the RLN1015D SmartRib the same as a standard rib (RLN4008) and if not what is the the power requirements for the SmartRib?

The voltage and current requirements a virtually the same BUT good old mother /\/\ reversed the polarity of the connector. Center is ground, shell is positive.

I think I found the answer...center is negative and 9v is required.
So now for another one, why the 3 position switch? What does the difference between -, 0, and XP?

Pretty sure this has been covered. Basically it switchs the internal uP frequency slightly to remove birdies that show up with some radios.
