XTS5000: VOCON replacement process

Post by Twisted_Pear »

I've got an XTS5000 that's suffered a hard compression to the case front resulting in the VOCON being pressed against the radio's frame. A few SMD parts were pulled off, which I'm going to attempt to repair, but the board is slightly warped. Just in case I need to replace the VOCON I want to know the process to do it.

So I see the board in MOL. At some point aren't I suppose to provide model number, serial and flashcode? I don't have an archive of the radio if it's needed when doing some CPS re-init process.

Any info to make the process smoother? Thanks!

Yup, when you checkout, it will ask Model Number and Flashcode in the "options" of the part.

Yeah, I saw it in another post. Good, straight to the point guide! The VOCON model numbers have changed (one universal one now?) and there appears to be a C04 display (Panter is selling them) that I have no idea which band they work for.

Thanks guys!
