XTS1500

Post by KG4LHQ »

We have about 45 XTS 1500's the department is wanting to change some stuff around inside them.

I really don't want to go thru all 45 radios to make the change. I saw where there was a Clone Feature.

Is there a way that I can make the settings to one radio and clone every other radio to that same feature except I would have to change the PTT ID MDC for each one which is nothing compared to what they are wanting to change.

Help is appreciated.

What radios do you own?: XTS5000, APX2000

The clone feature should work, as long as the model numbers and flashcodes are identical. I believe you can also have the clone wizard automatically increment the MDC ID.

Far as I know the model numbers are the same and they was all bought at the same time.

I'm hoping it does work cause lord knows I don't want to have to reprogram every freaking radio to their likings.

The EXPRESS CLONE feature is the bomb. It will read the other radios's existing PTT-ID's and use them for the clone. You no longer have to change them manually. Just plug it in, hit the button, and boom.

eBay at it's finest:
Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"
