Will it display battery life percentages?
What is the advantage of this charger over a stock motorola charger.

It looks like you must remove the batt to charge.

That is a charger/analyzer/conditioner. It will extend the life of the battery some, as it will analyze the battery and adjust its charge rate/amount as necessary, as well as running a charge/discharge cycle as necessary. You are correct in that the battery has to be removed from the radio.
